Millwright Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Millwright Mechanic to join our team at the Kensington Mine in Alaska. As a Millwright Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our mill.

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machinery
• Coordinate maintenance activities with production requirements
• Assess and recommend modifications to improve safety, environmental, and health aspects of the mill
• Monitor and recommend modifications to increase gold recovery efficiency, plant availability, and decrease operational costs
• Maintain records of mill maintenance activities
• Perform intermediate welding and fabrication
• Repair and maintain jaw crusher, cone crusher, conveyor circuits, ball mill, process pumps, and piping circuits
• Conduct pre-shift inspections and respond to safety concerns

• Ability to work safely and promote safe behavior in others
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification or degree in heavy equipment mechanical maintenance
• 1-3 years of maintenance experience
• Excellent analytical, technical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
