Position Overview
Role: Travel Nurse RN - OR
Location: United States
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Experience Requirements: Previous travel experience is not mandatory.
Employment Type: Traveler
Work Schedule: Day shifts (5x8)
Required Certifications: ACLS
Candidates should possess a minimum of 2 years of current experience in a large operating room setting. Experience in orthopedic, ENT, or vascular procedures is advantageous. A collaborative spirit, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential. Completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment is required.
Certifications:
- BLS is mandatory.
- PALS and ACLS are preferred.
All certifications must be obtained through recognized organizations such as the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross. Familiarity with EPIC EMR is preferred, and candidates must be capable of scrubbing.
Shift Details:
Shifts may vary between 8 and 10 hours to meet departmental staffing needs. Weekend, on-call, and holiday shifts may be required. Travelers will be prioritized for floating within the facility and may be assigned to alternate locations within a 20-mile radius of their designated area. Schedules and shifts for traveling pairs are not guaranteed to align.
Orientation:
The orientation will occur during the first week of the contract, not exceeding 40 total hours, and will include EPIC training (candidates may test out if they have used EPIC within the last six months).
