Job Overview

As a Medical Instrument Specialist at CHI Health Immanuel in Omaha, NE, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Our team is dedicated to providing Nationally Recognized Spinal Care for complex elective spine surgeries.

Below are the key aspects of the job:

  • Assist with daily/weekly testing and logging of all mechanical equipment, including Mechanical Washers, Sonic, and Sterilizers.
  • Maintain accurate and legible documentation of instrument processing and sterilization.
  • Identify items needing repair and assist with routine maintenance of instrumentation.
  • Follow procedure for set assembly utilizing Instrument Checklists and/or Instrument Tracking.
  • Assist with case cart assembly, OR Room Turnover, and cleaning and HLD of GI Scopes, Bronchoscopes, and TEE Probes.
  • Use supplies efficiently and correctly, according to IFU.
  • Participate in Department activities, including Orientation, System Education, Quality, Daily Briefing & Supply needs.

As a Medical Instrument Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a talented team of professionals. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, and experience in the field is preferred. Certification by CBSPD or IAHCSMM is also a plus.

The estimated salary for this role is around $45,000 to $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualification.
