Overview

The Medical Technologist plays a vital role in providing accurate and timely laboratory results to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. As a member of the Core Lab Department at Mercy Hospital Lincoln, this Full-Time position requires a strong foundation in laboratory techniques and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and interpret complex laboratory tests on patient specimens
  • Provide medical staff with critical information to inform patient diagnosis and treatment
  • Collaborate with laboratory team members to ensure efficient and accurate test results
  • Stay up-to-date with latest laboratory techniques and technologies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a major acceptable to a certification agency for MLT
  • MLT ASCP or equivalent certification
  • 3 years of clinical experience (for Medical Technologist I)
  • Bachelor's degree (for Medical Technologist II)
  • MT or MLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification
