Job Summary

As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care to patients within our defined scope of practice.

About the Role

  • This is a full-time Weekend Shift position that requires flexibility and adaptability. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care, communicate effectively, and collaborate on treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized nursing care to patients, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and effective care coordination.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients and their families, promoting trust and open communication.
  • Participate in education and training activities to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices in pediatric nursing.

Licensure and Certification

  • Must possess a current Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse or hold a valid Compact State license.
  • RN certification is preferred, but not required.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Must have an Associate's degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing, with applicable experience. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in pediatric nursing is preferred.
  • CPR Training is required, and must be obtained within 45 days of hire.

Working Conditions

  • This role requires working in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as excessive noise, dust, or extremes in temperatures.
  • May be exposed to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities.
