Job Summary

Please note that this role requires full-time onsite work. As a Cash Application Specialist at Novant Health, you will be responsible for posting all incoming electronic and manual payments, adjustments, denials, and reconciling patient accounts in a credit status due to overpayments and undistributed credits. You will follow proper control procedures for issuing refunds and investigate trends and issues resulting in payment postings and credit balances.

Qualifications
  • Education: 2-year / Associate Degree, required. Associates Degree in Business or related field. Related work experience will be considered in lieu of Associate Degree.
  • Experience: Minimum three years of experience in patient accounting or related field preferred. Insurance billing preferred, required.
  • Additional skills required: PC, work processing, and spreadsheet skills preferred. Ability to operate 10-key required.
  • Physical requirements: Clear and present speaking voice, hearing acuity that allows for understanding over the telephone, prolonged sitting, visual abilities, and manual dexterity that allows the use of PCs for extended periods of time.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as excellent benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
