Key Responsibilities
The Clinical Supervisor plays a vital role in delivering patient care while overseeing the nursing activities within the unit. In the absence of higher management, this position assumes comprehensive nursing responsibilities around the clock. The supervisor will engage with a specific patient demographic, ensuring high standards of care.
Our General Medicine units are accredited for their exceptional management of conditions such as Pneumonia and COPD. Additionally, this role provides the chance to work with diverse patient cases, including Sickle Cell, Chronic Pain, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Behavioral Health issues, Renal Failure, and Diabetes.
Qualifications
REQUIRED: 1. Completion of an accredited nursing program with a minimum of one (1) year of relevant nursing experience. 2. An Associate's Degree accompanied by three (3) years of clinical practice OR a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with two (2) years of clinical experience. 3. Proven ability to prioritize tasks and make sound clinical and supervisory judgments. Strong problem-solving skills are essential. 4. Demonstrated leadership skills. 5. Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is mandatory. 6. Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be necessary depending on departmental requirements. PREFERRED: Completion of a management training program prior to or within six (6) months of employment. Previous experience in a management or charge nurse role is advantageous. National Certification in a Clinical Specialty is also preferred.
Work Schedule:
Night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.
Weekend Commitment:
Required.
