Position Overview:
As a Cabin Steward, you will play a crucial role in welcoming guests, assisting with their luggage, and providing them with an introduction to the resort's facilities and services. Your responsibilities will also include daily cottage upkeep, such as preparing fires, replenishing wood supplies, delivering fresh ice and glassware, and performing light maintenance tasks. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage with guests and collaborate with various departments within the resort, gaining valuable insights into the operations of a premier lakeside resort.

Work Schedule:
Full-time positions are available with three shifts: 6:30 AM to 3 PM, 8:30 AM to 5 PM, or 10 AM to 7 PM.
Compensation:
Hourly wage ranges from $15 to $16.50, based on experience, plus a 7% incentive on wages.
Seasonal Role:
This is a seasonal position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a polished and professional appearance with a clean uniform.
  • Greet every guest warmly, making eye contact and using their name when possible.
  • Engage guests in meaningful conversations while orienting them to the property and its amenities.
  • Express genuine appreciation to guests and bid them farewell upon departure.
  • Actively listen to guest inquiries and respond positively to their needs and requests.
  • Assist with lifting and transporting guest luggage and supplies, ensuring proper handling.
  • Provide assistance with parking vehicles as needed, following property procedures.
  • Prepare accommodations according to daily instructions and property standards.
  • Respect guest privacy and property while working in their rooms.
  • Answer basic questions about the resort and refer guests to appropriate resources when necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure guest satisfaction and address any special needs.
  • Handle guest requests and maintenance issues professionally and efficiently.
  • Perform light maintenance and landscaping tasks as required.
  • Follow procedures for lost and found items.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain personal sanitation standards.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or broken equipment promptly.
  • Physically manage and transport items weighing up to 60 pounds, with occasional lifting of heavier items.
  • Demonstrate fine motor skills and mobility throughout the shift.
  • Safeguard the property and uphold the standards of Migis Hotel Group.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Comprehension of verbal instructions and safety signage.
  • Strong listening and observational skills.
