The City of Florissant is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Part-time Custodian. This role is responsible for performing routine manual work, general maintenance, repair, and cleaning tasks to ensure the upkeep of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all cleaning tasks as assigned, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
  • Set up and take down equipment for recreation programs, rentals, special events, and meetings
  • Perform maintenance and repairs, including operation of heavy to light equipment and tools
  • Conduct routine cleaning, painting, and waxing of surfaces
  • Remove snow and litter from facilities
  • Clean lavatories, replace lavatory supplies, and vacuum carpets
  • Inform supervisor of all information regarding the physical facilities
  • Exhibit a professional image, behavior, appearance, and demeanor at all times
  • Maintain strict confidence in all matters and work well with fellow staff members
  • Appear at work on time and as scheduled
  • Be responsible and reliable in attendance

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid state driver's license or ability to obtain one
  • Ability to work not to exceed 28 hours weekly
