Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team at Goose Feathers Cafe & Bakery. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring the smooth operation of our cafe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests and seat them as necessary, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.
  • Clean and maintain the cafe, including restrooms, dishwashing, and BOH duties.
  • Stock and restock cafe supplies, including rotating perishable items and maintaining a uniformed dining area.
  • Seating large parties with short notice, while respecting the privacy and space of other guests.
  • Wash BOH sheet pans, containers, and dishes, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Interact with customers, answer questions, and provide general knowledge of menu and specials items.

Requirements:

  • Some knowledge of BOH restaurant operations is preferred.
  • Punctuality, dependability, and reliability are essential.
  • Ability to pass random drug screens and preferably be a nonsmoker.
  • Personable and able to communicate effectively with customers and staff.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to be on one's feet for long periods of time.
  • Physically demanding tasks, including cleaning, stocking, dishwashing, and carrying kitchen supplies.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to perform major functions, including talking, hearing, and reaching above shoulder heights.
