Floor Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:

Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining and restoring hard-surface floors, operating industrial floor care equipment, and utilizing automated equipment for cleaning large areas. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of floor care techniques and procedures, as well as the ability to follow safety protocols.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard floor care, including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
  • Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment, including automated equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surface.
  • Utilizes proper procedures on carpet and upholstering, including shampooing, damp surface extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
  • Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role is preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques is required.
  • Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures are essential.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 lbs. is required.
