Core Responsibilities:
- Direct the architecture and deployment of scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions as part of modernization initiatives.
- Provide specialized knowledge in AWS and Azure cloud services, encompassing EC2, S3, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
- Oversee and enhance virtualization technologies (VSAM, VPC) and the integration of legacy systems (Mainframe, Unisys).
- Ensure that the infrastructure is in alignment with modernization goals and target state architecture.
- Engage with stakeholders to sustain secure and high-performance IT environments.
- Assist in disaster recovery planning and business continuity strategies.
- Design and execute scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure.
- Develop and manage Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) for streamlined authentication and authorization processes.
- Create, deploy, and manage Azure Functions (AZF) to facilitate serverless application development.
- Utilize Mainframe technologies to bridge legacy systems with contemporary cloud-based architectures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8-10 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering.
- Practical experience with AWS, Azure, virtualization technologies, and legacy systems integration.
- Familiarity with IT environments in government agencies or similar sectors.
- Strong analytical skills and the capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
- Candidates must fulfill requirements to obtain and maintain a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance; an active Moderate Risk MBI clearance is advantageous.
- Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Legal Permanent Residents (Green Card holders) for a minimum of three years and compliant with Federal Tax obligations.
