This Diagnostic Imaging Specialist position is responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging studies under the direction of the Radiologist. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiographic techniques and procedures, as well as excellent communication skills to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Produces diagnostic radiographs while maintaining patient safety and adhering to established protocols.
- Operates radiographic equipment to the satisfaction of the Radiologist, ensuring optimal image quality and patient comfort.
- Ensures that completed exams are submitted with all required paperwork complete, facilitating timely interpretation by the Radiologist.
- Assists in the administration of contrast agents, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Responds to patient needs, providing exceptional care and support throughout the imaging process.
- Practices sterile techniques and takes necessary precautions to prevent cross-contamination, maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Creates imaging discs for patients, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of results.
- Troubleshoots PACS-related issues, ensuring seamless workflow and minimal downtime.
- Assists the Radiologist with fluoroscopic and other examinations as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Maintains current knowledge and training on equipment and procedures, staying up-to-date with industry developments and advancements.
- Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations, registries, and licenses, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and growth.
- Maintains strict confidentiality, handling sensitive patient information with discretion and respect.
- Consistently displays a positive attitude and a personal commitment to excellence, embodying the values of White-Wilson Medical Center, P.A.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Current registration - ARRT from an AMA-approved school and state certification.
- Current Florida license - CRT.
- Current American Heart Association recognized Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum one-year experience in a broad-based radiology department, preferred.
This is a full-time position in an outpatient medical office setting, requiring regular and reliable on-site attendance. The ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends, is required. Travel to Fort Walton Beach, Destin, Niceville, and Navarre clinics may be necessary.
