Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach history at the Federal Correctional Complex-Beaumont and in state prisons in Texas. The successful applicant will provide quality classroom instruction, maintain confidentiality, and attend faculty meetings and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective classroom instruction to students in a correctional setting
- Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to students' needs, adhering to relevant laws and regulations
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in history or a related field from an accredited institution
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Valid Texas Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate from an accredited institution in history or a related field
- Teaching experience in a two-year college or correctional setting
- Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments with a high level of organization and time management
Compensation and Benefits:
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $2,200 per class per semester, with work hours dependent on the teaching load.
