Job Summary

The Lamar State College-Port Arthur is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor for Art to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of ARTS courses, including Dual Enrollment, Early College High School, and correctional facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Teach ARTS courses in a classroom setting, including day, evening, and online instruction.
  • Develop and implement curriculum-based ACGM outcomes and Core Curriculum outcomes.
  • Provide quality and innovative instruction while working independently in the classroom.
  • Maintain current knowledge and expertise in the subject area of teaching responsibility.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork within required timeframes.
  • Attend faculty meetings and professional development as required.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree is required with 18 graduate hours in the teaching area.
  • Ability to deal with students, faculty, and staff members in a professional manner.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and manage projects and assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience at a 2-year college or university.
  • Prior Blackboard experience preferred.
Work Environment

The work environment is a normal classroom setting.

Salary and Benefits

The salary is $2, per 3 SCH, and work hours vary, including day, evening, and online instruction.
