Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Collaborate with project superintendents to develop project plans and schedules for pipe installation.
  • Crew Supervision: Direct and coordinate the daily activities of pipe laying crews, ensuring efficient and safe work practices.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate heavy equipment, such as excavators and backhoes, to excavate, install, and backfill large pipes and culverts.
  • Site Inspection: Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
  • Quality Control: Inspect work to ensure that it meets specifications and adheres to construction schedules.
  • Employee Management: Supervise and manage employees, including reviewing timecards and ensuring that work is completed on time.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced outdoor environment, exposed to extreme weather conditions, uneven surfaces, and natural terrain. The noise level will be loud, and the candidate may be required to travel and work away from home for extended periods.
