Job Summary
The Behavior Technician works under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement behavioral services and support individuals with special needs. This role involves collaborating with educational professionals, developing behavior intervention plans, and ensuring the implementation of prevention, intervention, and consequence strategies.
Responsibilities
* Follow instructions from the BCBA, teacher, and/or program supervisor
* Implement behavior management techniques as directed
* Provide crisis intervention as needed
* Review and implement behavior intervention plans
* Assist in facilitating academic instruction and development plans
* Document sessions according to policies and procedures
* Collect and analyze data accurately and efficiently
* Maintain confidentiality and adhere to relevant professional standards of practice
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Two years of pediatric experience preferred
* Proficiency in English language required
* Computer skills essential
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
