Job Title: Site Technician

We are seeking a skilled Site Technician to join our team at Konecranes Nuclear Equip and Services LLC. As a Site Technician, you will be responsible for performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at various customer locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct on-site electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic troubleshooting to determine the cause of equipment malfunctions and establish necessary repairs.
  • Perform general post-repair audits to ensure all required safety features are functional or document deficiencies and attach a deficiency tag to the crane.
  • Document findings and make corrective recommendations to the customer, including a written safety notification of any observed or known safety concerns.
  • Consult with customers regarding all repair and safety-related issues and discuss recommendations to assist them in improving their material handling applications.
  • Complete and provide proper electronic documentation using established company digital tools, obtaining customer signatures and acceptance.
  • Produce sales leads during service calls and report to the service office, following established guidelines.
  • Read and understand the contents of all OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI, and other industry codes or regulations, refreshing and updating knowledge periodically.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Industrial Electrical and/or Mechanical Technology or related field or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience.
  • Minimum one year of experience involving electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair, with some electronic experience but not necessary.
  • Must have and maintain a good driving record, including a valid driver's license, and be willing to work off the ground.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 25 lbs, lift up to 50 lbs on a daily basis, and lift up to 75 lbs although not on a daily basis.
