Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet and assist customers with locating and selecting products, deliver outstanding customer service, and use skills and knowledge to offer solutions that meet or exceed customers' expectations.
  • Food Preparation: Slice, cut, prepare, weigh, and package products according to established standards and quality goals.
  • Department Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized deli department, adhere to highest product quality standards, and achieve productivity standards as outlined in Management Planning.
  • Teamwork: Assist in training other associates and perform other functions as assigned.
Requirements
  • Experience: Deli, restaurant, or food service experience is helpful but not required.
  • Skills: Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills, effective interpersonal skills, and ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Lift up to 15 lbs. frequently and up to 40 lbs. occasionally, reach to shoulder lifting 20 lbs. frequently and overhead occasionally, push/pull 3-15 lbs. frequently and up to 40 lbs. occasionally, and perform repetitive grasping, hand, and arm motions while standing/walking the majority of the shift.
