We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Up2Us Coach to join our team at Hynes Charter School. As a Coach, you will play a vital role in empowering youth through sports, promoting social-emotional skills, and fostering a positive impact on the community.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate Rotational Recess Games and Activities: Develop and implement engaging recess games and activities that promote physical activity and social interaction among students.
- Lead In-School and After-School Activities: Design and lead in-school and after-school activities that focus on developing social-emotional skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Collaborate with Program Staff: Work closely with program staff and team members to collect surveys and roster information, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis.
- Develop Social-Emotional Skills: Utilize evidence-based strategies learned during Up2Us Training to develop social-emotional skills among students, promoting a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Act as a Role Model: Demonstrate exceptional leadership and role-modeling skills, gaining the respect and trust of the community and youth served.
- AmeriCorps Eligibility: Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Education: Must have, or be working towards, a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Transportation: Must have access to reliable transportation.
- Criminal History Background Check: Must pass a successful completion of a criminal history background check.
- Ability to Perform Job Requirements: Must be able to perform all job requirements satisfactorily.
