Job Overview:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position at OU Health provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic and patient-centered environment. This role involves delivering high-quality care to patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:
  • Administers medications under the supervision of physicians or other medical staff.
  • Observes and records patient responses to medication and treatment.
  • Provides care in accordance with established nursing plans.
  • Collects and documents comprehensive patient data.
  • Communicates effectively with other caregivers.
  • Assists in coordinating patient care delivery.
  • Employs strategies to promote patient safety and well-being.
  • Documents patient progress and outcomes.
  • Utilizes evidence-based practices to deliver high-quality care.

Requirements:
To succeed in this role, candidates should have a completion of educational requirements for the NCLEX-PN exam. A minimum of one year of experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess a current LPN license from the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a multistate compact LPN license (eNLC). Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association is required upon hiring. Essential skills include knowledge of nursing theory and practice, coordination and planning abilities, and effective communication skills.

Compensation:
The estimated salary range for this role is $52,000 - $65,000 annually, depending on experience. In addition to competitive pay, OU Health offers a comprehensive benefits package that supports employees' physical, emotional, and financial well-being.
