Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive systems analysis and utilize modeling tools to simulate circuit or system performance, including cascade analysis of converters.
  • Engage in the detailed design and analysis of RF components, covering a spectrum from VHF to millimeter-wave, as well as mixed-signal communication hardware.
  • Perform filter modeling, analysis, and design to meet stringent performance criteria.
  • Oversee system integration, testing, and development of RF/millimeter-wave communication hardware for aerospace applications.
  • Research and assess new communication technologies suitable for aerospace applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with electrical and environmental standards, as well as internal manufacturing requirements.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering growth and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Act as the technical liaison for clients, participating in technical meetings and assisting in specification development.
  • Translate client specifications into actionable design documentation for prototypes and production releases.
  • Document new designs according to established guidelines, including simulations and tolerance analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of testing procedures, fixtures, and associated software.
  • Provide input for RFQ/RFP responses, detailing engineering and production cost estimates.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years in microwave/millimeter-wave design, with a proven track record in high-reliability hardware from concept to delivery.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of complex communication systems, RF architecture, and circuit design, including expertise in receivers, synthesizers, and transmitters.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required; a Master's or PhD is preferred.
