Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components using SolidWorks, ensuring compliance with ANSI standards and GD&T proficiency.
  • Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to evaluate the structural integrity of design concepts.
  • Use Matlab and Labview for data analysis and system modeling.
  • Prepare Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and manage the implementation process.
  • Lead and participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential failure modes and their impacts on system performance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the integration of mechanical design aspects into the overall project.
  • Oversee the fabrication, installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment.
  • Develop and implement testing procedures, analyze test results, and prepare detailed reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and contribute to the continuous improvement initiatives of the company.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, Matlab, Labview, and other related software.
  • Expertise in electro-mechanical systems, ANSI standards, and GD&T.
  • Experience with ECR, FMEA, and 3D design.
  • Strong understanding of Finite Element Analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
