  • Customer Service: Provide excellent service to all customers, engage with each customer, and present a friendly and cooperative attitude.
  • Point of Sale (POS) and Cash Handling: Perform accurate POS and cash handling procedures, including operating a cash register and processing transactions.
  • Goodwill Mission and Values: Communicate our Mission and act in accordance with our values (RISE: Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence) to our employees, customers, and donors.
  • Donation Processing: Receive and accurately record donations using technology, sort, clean, process, and price donated goods following company standards.
  • Sales Floor Maintenance: Merchandise and maintain the sales floor, including restocking shelves, facing merchandise, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Teamwork and Flexibility: Work collaboratively with the team, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed.
Requirements
  • Basic English Skills: Ability to read, speak, and write Basic English.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to operate a cash register, personal computer, and other technology necessary to complete assigned activities.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to share Goodwill's purpose with customers or donors and ask for monetary donations.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to work with a diverse team and adapt to changing situations.
  • Previous Retail Experience: Some retail and sales experience is helpful.
  • Attendance and Punctuality: Punctual and dependable attendance is required.
  • Background Check: Free from alcohol and drug abuse.
