Position Overview

As a Bilingual Civil Litigation Associate, you will support Senior Associates and Partners in managing a variety of cases. Depending on your level of expertise, you may handle your own case docket, primarily focusing on personal injury matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong client relationships throughout the legal process.
  • Develop strategic approaches for complex legal disputes.
  • Interpret and summarize legal documents effectively.
  • Engage in negotiations with external parties regarding legal disputes and contracts.
  • Represent clients in court, arbitration, or other judicial settings.
  • Apply knowledge of civil law principles in practice.
  • Utilize research methods and understand rules of evidence and court procedures.
  • Deliver legal information clearly in various settings, including workshops and courtrooms.
  • Organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Interpret and apply federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Draft professional correspondence.
  • Safeguard confidential and sensitive information.
  • Prepare and present cases effectively, including appeals.
  • Articulate statements of fact, law, and argument in both written and oral formats.

Qualifications

  • Current admission to the Texas state bar.
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and highly professional demeanor.
  • Willingness to travel 5%-10% as needed.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Technical aptitude for quickly learning new software and programs.

Educational Requirements

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
