WiseHR Group is a vibrant civil litigation law firm located in Houston, TX, specializing in personal injury cases. We are currently looking for a bilingual (Spanish) trial associate to join our team.
Position Overview
As a Civil Litigation Associate, you will support Senior Associates and Partners in managing a variety of cases. Depending on your expertise, you may be assigned your own set of cases. The primary focus of this role will be on personal injury litigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster and maintain client relationships throughout the legal process.
- Develop strategic approaches for complex legal disputes.
- Interpret and summarize various legal documents.
- Engage in negotiations with external parties regarding legal disputes and contracts.
- Represent clients in court, arbitration, or other judicial proceedings.
- Apply knowledge of civil law principles effectively.
- Utilize research methods and understand the rules of evidence and court procedures.
- Deliver legal information clearly in workshops, hearings, or courtrooms.
- Organize and prioritize workload to meet critical deadlines.
- Interpret and apply federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Draft professional correspondence.
- Safeguard confidential and sensitive information.
- Prepare and present cases effectively in law, equity, and appeals.
- Articulate statements of fact, law, and argument in a clear and logical manner, both in writing and orally.
Qualifications
- Must hold a current Texas state bar admission.
- 1-5 years of relevant experience in civil litigation.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and highly professional demeanor.
- Willingness to travel 5%-10% as needed.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
- Technical aptitude to quickly learn new software and tools.
Educational Background
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
Compensation and Benefits
