Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 3 to 6 staff members, managing schedules, breaks, and task assignments.
  • Ensure all team members are aware of their roles and responsibilities, and that tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Address and resolve any operational issues that arise during shifts, communicating effectively with management.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu offerings and seasonal specials.

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Prioritize exceptional customer service, handling complaints with professionalism and creativity.
  • Engage with customers warmly, fostering a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.

Operational Duties:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and alcoholic drinks.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the café and bar areas.
  • Accurately process cash and card transactions.
  • Assist in inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Oversee dishwashing operations and coordinate with the dishwasher.

Meetings and Training:

  • Participate in management and staff meetings, contributing to goal setting and performance reviews.
  • Support the company’s commitment to sustainability and local sourcing initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Previous experience as a barista is required.
  • Experience in managing front-of-house service or a minimum of two years in a server role is necessary.
  • Knowledge of wine and food pairings is essential, along with a willingness to learn about local producers.
  • A positive attitude and ability to collaborate effectively within a team are crucial.

Availability:

  • Shifts: 3-5 shifts per week (morning or evening).
  • Morning Shift: 7 AM - 4 PM
  • Evening Shift: 4 PM - 11 PM (approx.)
  • At least one weekend shift is required.
