Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Petco. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting our veterinary team in delivering high-quality care to our furry friends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to pets, including administering treatments and performing procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to pet parents, answering questions and addressing concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to ensure seamless operations and high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for pets and staff, adhering to Petco's high standards for animal care and welfare.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest animal care techniques and best practices.
Requirements
  • Must love dogs and cats (and people too) and have a passion for animal care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and customers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; veterinary experience or training preferred.
