Disability Assessment Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to conduct medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.

In this role, you will review medical records electronically and perform focused, in-person physical exams on each Veteran. You will then document the exam findings through a web portal.

This position is crucial in supporting the VA's disability determination process, and you will not be responsible for making disability determinations. Your role is to provide medical opinions based on your assessments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting independent medical assessments on Veterans
  • Reviewing medical records and analyzing data to complete questionnaires and forms
  • Providing medical opinions based on exam findings
  • Documenting exam results through the web portal

Requirements for this position include:

  • Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Proficiency in using a computer and web-based systems
