Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Threat Modeling Expert to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud-based systems and applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in threat modeling, with experience in identifying and mitigating potential threats to our cloud-based systems and applications. You should also have advanced knowledge of security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, and application security.

Additionally, you should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as experience working with complex AWS architecture. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets, with a base pay ranging from $143,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $247,600/year in our highest geographic market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain threat models for cloud-based systems and applications
  • Develop security automation tools to improve the security of our cloud-based systems and applications
  • Collaborate with software development teams to ensure the security and integrity of our cloud-based systems and applications
  • Conduct manual and automated secure code reviews
  • Participate in adversarial security analysis and training

Required Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience with at least three of the following: thread modeling, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, penetration testing, cloud security, mobile security, or network security
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, or application security
  • Experience reading and writing in at least one programming language
