+ Schedule: Full Time, Day Shift, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

In this role, you will rotate between multiple infusion centers in Southeast Michigan, with the primary location being the Assarian Cancer Center of Novi.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering distributive pharmacy services and technical assistance to pharmacists.
  • Engaging in specialized pharmacy services including hazardous drug compounding and medication history management.
  • Maintaining and refilling automated dispensing systems, preparing orders, managing inventory, and repackaging medications.
  • Acting as a liaison among pharmacy, patients, and healthcare professionals to provide essential information.
  • Facilitating patient medication access through benefit investigations, prior authorizations, and financial assistance.
  • Assisting pharmacists in creating educational materials for patients.
  • Administering immunizations in compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: One or more of the following:
    • Pharmacy Technician credential from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy
    • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) credential
    • National Healthcareer Association Pharmacy Technician credential
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable experience.

Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in hospital compounding as a pharmacy technician.
  • PTCB certification.
