Sunbelt Rentals, recognized as the fastest-growing rental business in North America, is in search of a Mechanic.

This role involves performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment efficiently and safely to minimize downtime. The equipment you will work on may include Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and specialty equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, and HVAC systems.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED; trade school or equivalent training is preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a mechanic with diesel or heavy equipment, or specialty lines equipment.

Skills and Abilities

Key skills you may need include:

  • Possession of mechanic's tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, along with troubleshooting skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual abilities may be required based on location.

The physical demands of this position include bending, squatting, lifting over 50 pounds, and working both indoors and outdoors as necessary. Compensation

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $29.94 to $31.94, depending on the collective bargaining agreement.
