Welding Engineer

Met Weld International is seeking a skilled Welding Engineer to join our team in Altamont, NY. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, qualifying, and optimizing welding designs and processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement welding techniques and procedures to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.
- Train and coach welders on proper techniques and best practices to ensure high-quality welds.
- Conduct inspections and testing to ensure welds meet national code requirements.
- Collaborate with design, tooling, and engineering teams to improve welded designs for manufacturing.
- Perform statistical process analysis of welding processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in welding or materials engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a machining and/or welding manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on welding experience and knowledge of brazing, joining, and metallographic interpretations.
- Experience with ASME Codes and fluid process systems involving piping, plumbing, filtrations, heating, instruction, and controls.
- $70,000 - $95,000 per year.
