We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychologist to join our team at GeorgiaGov. As a Forensic Psychologist, you will be responsible for conducting court-ordered pretrial forensic psychological evaluations to answer questions of competency to stand trial and/or criminal responsibility. You will also complete assessments on individuals admitted to a State Forensic Psychiatric Unit, conduct forensic risk assessments and other psychological testing, and conduct groups and psycho-educational interventions.
Responsibilities- Conduct court-ordered pretrial forensic psychological evaluations to answer questions of competency to stand trial and/or criminal responsibility.
- Complete assessments on individuals admitted to a State Forensic Psychiatric Unit.
- Conduct forensic risk assessments and other psychological testing.
- Conduct groups and psycho-educational interventions.
To be successful in this role, you will need a Doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited college or university, a current Georgia license to practice psychology, and one year of experience at the lower level Psychologist 1 (HCP140) or equivalent.
