A leading proprietary trading firm is in search of a skilled and proactive Technical Operations Specialist to enhance its technology team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong enthusiasm for systems management, encompassing hardware, networking, and software deployment, automation, and tool development.

This role is part of a globally distributed team dedicated to supporting high-performance electronic trading systems and will involve collaboration with various departments within the organization.

The company culture prioritizes teamwork and emphasizes continuous integration along with test-driven development methodologies.



Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
  • Proficient understanding of Linux operating systems.
  • Experience in developing process management and monitoring solutions utilizing scripting languages, with a preference for Python.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with development teams to enhance the operational stability and functionality of both existing and new trading systems.
  • Familiarity with configuring and managing low-latency, high-availability trading environments, working closely with developers, quantitative analysts, and traders.
  • Experience in coordinating, planning, and executing organization-wide changes within a global change management framework.
  • Ability to assess, prioritize, and resolve complex network and systems challenges, from low-level hardware issues to proprietary software applications.
  • Knowledge of networking principles such as DNS, HTTP, TCP, UDP, etc.
  • Demonstrated initiative and the capacity to quickly establish trust with trading and technology teams.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities.
