Nurse Care Coordinator

This Position is for a Registered Nurse (RN): Signing Bonus and Relocation Allowance with a job corps agency located in Memphis, TN.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will assist in administering the Center's Health and Wellness Services Program, ensuring compliance with DOL guidelines and regulations. This role requires a state-licensed Registered Nurse with three years of experience, including one year in a lead capacity. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, thorough knowledge of nursing techniques, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversees scheduling of sick call, infirmary coverage, and environmental health, physical and dental exams in accordance with DOL guidelines.
2. Inspects the food service facility and dormitories regularly to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
3. Develops and maintains an inventory control system for medication, equipment, and medical supplies.
4. Conducts inventories of supplies and medications monthly and purchases medication and medical supplies as needed.
5. Participates in nurses' on-call rotation and functions as a staff nurse as needed.
6. Collects data and maintains a wellness monthly Utilization Report.
7. Plans, organizes, and controls the use of overtime and on-call staff to ensure compliance with Center and ETR policy and procedures.
Requirements:
1. State-licensed Registered Nurse with three years of experience, including one year in a lead capacity.
2. Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
3. Proven ability to lead and support a team.
4. Thorough knowledge of nursing techniques and practices.
5. Knowledge of current state and federal laws regulating health care and patient privacy (HIPPA).
6. Strong organization skills and communication skills, both oral and written.
7. Familiarity with medical needs of young adults.
8. Meticulous documentation/recording skills and attention to detail; excellent time management.
9. Ability to multi-task in a fast-changing environment.
10. Proficient in the use of a personal computer and computer software including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Working Conditions:
The successful candidate will work in a school health care and general office setting, with occasional outdoor responsibilities. The role requires the ability to handle hazardous materials/waste, exposure to blood and body fluids, and exposure to risk of illness. On-call availability to attend emergencies as required.
