Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Patient Chart Coordinator to join our team. As a Patient Chart Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating patient charts, verifying insurance coverage, and completing order entry from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately create patient charts, verify insurance coverage, and complete order entry from start to finish.
  • Process all customer orders in a timely and efficient manner according to Medcare procedures.
  • Ensure that insurance is eligible and receive/scan necessary paperwork.
  • Professional handle all consignment referrals from providers, gathering all required data, carefully processing orders, assisting with inquiries, and providing excellent customer service.
  • Validate patient details and enter all information and documentation into the system accurately.
  • Obtain proper documentation and insurance information from patients and referral sources, utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) to obtain all documentation in accordance with payer guidelines.
  • Verify facilities that dispensed items, patient's insurance coverage to determine if criteria have been met to bill payers, facilities, or patients.
  • Resolve referral concerns and complaints by identifying problems and coordinating appropriate corrective action.
  • Work on open task lists when assigned.
  • Treat all information and data with appropriate confidentiality and security, verifying HIPAA contacts when speaking with customers.
  • Adhere to all state and federally mandated standards regarding confidentiality and patient rights.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role or customer service-related field is required.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office with proven data entry experience is required.
  • Knowledge of Payor/Insurance benefits is preferred.

Estimated Salary:$45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
