Kamatics Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Associate Accounting Analyst to join our team. As an Associate Accounting Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the Accounting Manager in performing various accounting activities related to general accounting, general ledger, special projects, and government accounting.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Analysis and Reporting: Prepare monthly journal entries, reconcile various general ledger accounts, and analyze accounting transactions to ensure proper classification.
- Financial Operations: Book sales and profit in accordance with US GAAP and other regulatory requirements, process and reconcile cash receipts from lockbox deposits, ACH, and wire transfers to the ledger.
- Cash Management: Research and resolve issues such as short payments, overpayments, and payments without remittance instructions, support cash distribution processes.
- Accounts Receivable: Collect accounts receivable balances, work with management to analyze new and existing customer credit history, and recommend terms or changes in terms.
- Special Projects: May work with external auditors and company staff to troubleshoot issues/concerns and identify resolutions, participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Experience: 1+ year of experience in manufacturing or aerospace, preferably in accounting or a related field.
- Knowledge: Understanding of U.S. GAAP, familiarity with revenue recognition regulations, basic credit and collections knowledge, intermediate data entry skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Skills: Good organizational skills, detail orientation, good interpersonal skills, ability to use good judgment and discretion, and working knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and cost accounting standards (CAS).
