Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students' physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities to identify areas of need.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment results and student goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and achievement.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and progress.
  • Provide guidance and training to students, parents, and school staff on adaptive techniques and strategies.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary case discussions.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Michigan.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of developmental milestones and educational strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
