Role Responsibilities

The Clinical Program Manager II plays a pivotal role in spearheading multi-departmental initiatives aimed at quality enhancement. This position involves:

  • Strategic Improvement Initiatives: Collaborating with team members to design and implement targeted improvement strategies based on performance metrics and industry benchmarks to elevate key quality measures.
  • Research and Best Practices: Investigating evidence-based practices and integrating findings into quality improvement efforts to align with industry standards.
  • Ongoing Evaluation: Conducting continuous assessments of improvement initiatives, providing actionable insights to management for process optimization.
  • Methodology Implementation: Applying performance improvement methodologies to support internal quality initiatives, ensuring timely and effective outcomes.

  • Training and Capacity Building: Facilitating the development and delivery of comprehensive training programs for quality improvement teams and stakeholders.
  • Support for Quality Teams: Actively engaging with quality improvement teams and initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Technological Integration: Identifying opportunities to leverage technology for enhancing quality improvement initiatives.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Translating complex data into actionable insights and preparing detailed reports for management review.
  • Program Monitoring: Overseeing programs from inception to delivery, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to project standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serving as a subject matter expert, providing updates to stakeholders on program progress and outcomes.
  • Operational Excellence: Managing moderately complex projects and contributing to the continuous enhancement of programs and processes.
  • Committee Leadership: Leading and participating in cross-functional committees to support quality improvement initiatives.
  • Audit and Compliance: Engaging in audits and assisting in the development of corrective actions to meet compliance standards.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in managed care quality improvement or clinical program management.
  • Familiarity with HEDIS, CAHPS, CMS Medicare Star Ratings, and quality improvement standards.
  • Experience in population health management or quality improvement within a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Project management expertise and proficiency in time management.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
