Job Title: LPC Resident in Counseling Licensed Eligible Community Based Mental Health Counselor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified mental health professional to provide intensive in-home and mental health skill-building services in the greater Richmond area. As a Licensed Eligible Community-Based Counselor, you will work with clients in their homes, providing one-on-one mental health counseling and skill-building services. You will also be responsible for case management, completing individualized service plans, and providing information for authorization of services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide mental health counseling and skill-building services to adults with serious mental illness in their homes
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans to meet client needs
  • Complete quarterly reports and progress notes for each session with a client
  • Provide information for authorization of services and meet regularly for supervision
  • Attend team meetings and participate in case management and service planning
  • Complete assessments and documentation reviews as needed
  • Lead team trainings and provide oversight and supervision of QMHPs

Requirements:

  • Licensed or licensed-eligible in Virginia as an LPC
  • Registered with the Board of Counseling
  • Experience working with adults with serious mental illness
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
