Job Summary:

The ICU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires strong critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor and manage patient's vital signs, medication, and treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Assist with intubation, central line insertions, and other critical care procedures as needed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience in an ICU setting.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Illinois.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with ventilated patients and early mobility.
  • Knowledge of critical care nursing practices and protocols.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
