**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit

**Job Specialty:** ICU

**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks

**Shift:** Night Shift; 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (3x12 Hr)

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 Hours per Week

**Experience:** Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience

**License:** State RN License in good standing

**Certifications:**
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- PALS (American Heart Association)

**Must-Have:**
- PATIENT CARE
- ICU Experience
- Registered Nurse License

**Job Description:**

- Provide nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit using the nursing process.
- Supervise work assignments of nursing assistants and report to the Nurse Manager.
- Deliver professional nursing care according to established standards and practices.
- Perform unit-specific responsibilities and duties.
- Implement procedures and theories related to ICU practice.
- Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care for integration with the healthcare team.
- Complete initial patient assessments and develop plans of care based on patient and family needs.
- Implement and modify plans of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures.
- Ensure patient and employee safety by addressing safety hazards and incidents.
- Communicate effectively with team members and resolve issues as needed.
- Provide constructive feedback for peer development and collaborate with colleagues for knowledge expansion.
- Identify personal learning needs and pursue appropriate solutions.
- Meet departmental competency requirements.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families through hourly rounding, bedside reports, and use of whiteboards.
- Work with ventilated patients to promote early mobility.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Assist with procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, and arterial line insertion and care.
- Delegate tasks to healthcare technicians and ensure task completion.
- Use critical thinking to evaluate patient conditions and make informed nursing judgments on patient status changes.
