Sensory Technician

As a Sensory Technician at Givaudan, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Sensory Team in executing sensory tests, including Descriptive Analysis, Discrimination Tests, and Consumer Tests. Your proactive and self-motivated approach will enable you to take initiative to address tasks and opportunities independently.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the Sensory Manager and Sensory Team to plan and execute sensory tests according to established protocols, ensuring accurate and timely data entry and management of sensory testing logs.
- Utilize sensory software to design and implement sensory tests, ensuring alignment with customer sensory objectives.
- Maintain the sensory laboratory, preparatory and booth areas to ensure a safe, clean, and orderly environment, following the company's safety procedures and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Participate in team tastings and sensory trainings, as well as product evaluations.
- Assist with sample handling, including receiving and unpacking samples and ensuring proper storage.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in science or food science-related field.
- Prior experience or knowledge of sensory science is a plus.
- Critical thinking, attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills are a must.
- Strong computer literacy, including but not limited to Google Drive and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to rapidly adapt to change and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Apply GLP in all areas of responsibilities.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
