About the Role

The H&K Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join its Structures Division. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate project progress information and cost data for project control and analysis.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules, including coordination and scheduling of deliveries, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Work closely with the project team to build projects in a controlled manner, managing and coordinating with subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with purchasing to requisition materials and ensure proper coding of invoices.
  • Prepare and maintain daily diaries of work activities, including manpower, equipment, and material deliveries.
  • Process change orders and technical problems with clients, suppliers, superintendents, and subcontractors.
  • Review project cost reports with the project team.
  • Ensure the safety of the workforce, site, and motoring public by meeting project safety requirements.
  • Visit project sites for troubleshooting and quality assurance, with a minimum of one site visit per week.
  • Oversee project security and safety.
  • Assist in preparing project AIA Billing requisitions.
  • Review purchase orders, delivery tickets, subcontractor requisitions, and invoices for accurate coding.
  • Maintain all project files, including submittals, shop drawings, maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, and punch lists.
  • Maintain owner-required documentation in an organized manner.
  • Meet with subcontractors and suppliers for project coordination.
  • Maintain a log for all submittals and shop drawings.
  • Meet or exceed project objectives as determined in the pre-job planning process.
