Job Summary

Mid Coast Medical Group Primary Care, a department of Mid Coast Hospital, is seeking a family medicine or internal medicine physician to serve as Medical Director of Primary Care. The Medical Director will work closely with the VP Physician & App Services and Practice Operations Leadership to oversee the clinical and operational success of our primary care practices. In addition, the Medical Director will help develop and implement primary care-related strategic initiatives and practice clinically as a Primary Care physician. This is a full-time position with a ratio of 28 clinical hours to 12 administrative hours. Call consists of outpatient only, and is divided equally among the 10+ providers in the group.

About the Role

The Medical Director will be responsible for leading the primary care team and developing strategies to improve patient outcomes and practice efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The Medical Director will also be responsible for developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives and participating in the development of the practice's strategic plan.

Requirements
  • MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
  • APPs with applicable background considered.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible.
  • Preferred 3 years of leadership experience, though not required.
