Job Summary:
The Salina Unified School District is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Custodian to join our maintenance and operations team. As a Night Custodian, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of classrooms, offices, and common areas on a year-round basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Participate in evening hours Monday through Friday, with flexibility to work a varied schedule
- Interact positively with students, faculty, and staff, providing excellent customer service
- Assist with other duties within the maintenance and operations department as needed
- Be self-motivated, able to make assessments on the fly with minimal supervision
Requirements:
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
- Knowledge of safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Ability to lift items in excess of 50 pounds
- Self-sufficiency, responsibility, reliability, thoroughness, and pride in work
Compensation:
Classified Pay Schedule Range 11: $14.68 to $15.57 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
