About Us:

Position Overview:

As a Practical Nursing Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing essential medical care and personal support to clients in our healthcare facilities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting patient interviews to assess medical conditions and documenting findings for physician review.
  • Measuring and recording vital signs and patient weight.
  • Assisting physicians during patient examinations as required.
  • Reviewing and discussing physician orders and lab requests with patients.
  • Documenting all services rendered accurately.
  • Administering wound care and applying necessary treatments as directed.
  • Monitoring patients for any adverse reactions to medications or treatments and reporting findings.
  • Administering prescribed medications and documenting administration details.
  • Utilizing clinic equipment effectively.
  • Collecting and processing patient samples for laboratory testing.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment and supplies.
  • Ensuring the clinic is stocked with necessary supplies and managing inventory.
  • Responding to patient inquiries and providing necessary follow-up.
  • Coordinating referrals and follow-up appointments for patients.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate's degree or equivalent.
  • Current licensure as a Practical or Vocational Nurse.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support is mandatory; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may be required based on specific service needs.
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience in an ambulatory care or similar setting.

Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with software applications.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records is advantageous.
