Responsibilities
  • Operate various pieces of equipment, including a sheet metal shear, brake, saw, and machining center.
  • Complete daily work from a production schedule using blueprints, standard work, and work instructions.
  • Accurately enter data into the MRP system and ensure inventory is accurately stated.
  • Maintain quality throughout the process.
  • Conduct daily preventative maintenance on machinery.
  • Maintain stock control, pull items for orders, and work in other departments as required.
  • Actively participate in facility 5S and Lean initiatives.
  • Operate fork trucks and cranes while performing daily activities safely.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to setup and operate saws, brakes, shears, and other machining equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret standard blueprints and other engineered documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively with torches, cutters, staplers, hand/pneumatic tools, and hand tools.
  • Ability to safely operate Jib and overhead cranes and safely operate a forklift.
  • Ability to perform quality inspections on own work and the work of others based on set expectations.
  • Ability to understand fractions, decimals, and measurement techniques.
