Job Summary
The American Society for Virology is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team in the Department of Molecular Medicine. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project investigating the molecular basis of virus-host interactions, with a focus on Herpesvirus DNA replication and restriction.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments to investigate the host factors involved in Herpesvirus DNA replication and restriction
- Conduct molecular biology, cell biology, tissue culture, and biochemical approaches to study virus-host interactions
- Lead individual projects and contribute to collaborative research efforts
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying virus-host interactions
Requirements
- PhD in a relevant field (e.g. molecular biology, virology, cell biology)
- Experience with molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemical techniques
- Strong understanding of virus-host interactions and molecular mechanisms
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
